PROJECT OVERVIEW

Create a pre-order campaign for the children’s book I am a Kindness Hero to generate interest/book pre-orders & gather opt-in emails for marketing. 

 KEY OBJECTIVES & APPROACH
  • Entice email capture & pre-order by offering a free activity kit + buy one give one to the nonprofit charity Books For Kids
     

  • Sell 1.5k pre-orders from the microsite
     

  • Create a marketing video trailer to introduce the book and create interest

The book cover was designed by Sounds True trade team using the illustrations by Carme Lemniscates

Key Visuals

Based on the book cover seen above & and the multiple illustrations created by Carme, I designed a key visual to nail down the look & feel of the web experience. I wanted it to be light & utilize whatever illustrations I could while still creating a composition that really highlighted the 3D book cover.

UI Design & Marketing Assets

Opt-in & Thank You Page

Below is the opt-in page for desktop. The goal of this page was to create interest in I am a Kindness Hero to generate pre-orders before its pub date. In order to generate that interest, I included as many scenes from the book that I could to show its richness, plus, we offered a free activity kit & a buy-one-give-one gift for charity. In order to recieve the free gifts, you didn't necessarily have to have pre-ordered the book although we tried to encourage it throughout the page. Any opt-ins we did optain would recieve their free gifts and go through an email drip campaign.
